Prediction Student Academic Performance Using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)
Abstract
|
Student unable to achieve desired results or fail to pass the minimum requiremnent GPA of certain subjects.
A proposed system, prediction student academic performance is use to forecast student academic performance by using analytic hierarchy process. |
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a theory of measurement through pairwise comparisons and relies on the judgement of experts to derive priority scales.
Student able to predict grade grade of the subject in 11 categories which are A, A- .B+,B, B-, C+, C, C-, D+,D and F. |
Introduction
A student’s academic performance normally evaluated by internal components such as carry mark and final exam mark which both are based on lecturer judgement and external components such as attendance. Each student has to obtain minimum CGPA to pass the program requirement in order to graduate.
The proposed of prediction student academic performance system is to help student to analyse and predict result for particular subject. On the other hand, lecturer can provide extra training or tutorial for those who weak in certain subjects by referring the predicted result. |

METHODOLOGY
Step 1 :Derive the priority for each criteria.
Step 2: Make Pairwise Comparison for 2 criteria's
Step 3: Calculate weight for each 2 criteria's.
Step 4: Normalize weight for each 2 criteria's and set priorities for each.
